The Journey Within Is proud to present a wonderful opportunity to experience the exceptional teachings of the late “Grand Dame of Mediumship,” Mavis Pittilla, a UK medium, known worldwide for her philosophy, mediumship, and teachings.
Mavis was a regular visitor to the Journey Within, and a great friend of our former pastor, Janet Nohavec. They worked together with great joy and had a mutual respect that was tangible. Janet even ordained Mavis as a Minister at the church.
Mavis and Jean, her wife, loved to support the church, through fundraising for the Journey Within and Janet’s Schoolhouse Project. Even through lockdown, they continued to support the church every month, taking the Divine Services and of course having a personal catch up on each other’s day-to-day life experiences
Both Jean and Mavis loved their link with both Janet and the church community.
The loss of both Janet and Mavis has been devastating for many, but our intention is that their legacy will live on.
It is The Journey Within’s pleasure to invite Mavis’s wife, Jean, and fellow educator, along with Annie Gee, their close friend and the most experienced “Mavis Authorised Teacher,” to present an online programme, where they will introduce you to ‘Mavis’s Ways,” sharing her teachings, philosophy, and practices.
Their sincere aim is to keep Mavis’s legacy alive.
This program will consist of four class dates.
Jean & Annie will be visiting the Journey Within in August 2023, offering in person workshops. To be eligible for these workshops, you must take this workshop.
This programme will consist of:
Mavis’s theory:
- Philosophy and belief in the Whole Medium not just the mechanics of mediumship
- Understanding Yourself
- The Spirit and the Soul
- Worlds within Worlds
Practical sessions on:
- Awareness, power, and blending.
- Psychic and Mediumistic experiences
- Demonstrations
- Private sittings
- Public Speaking
Jean and Annie will utilise many of Mavis’s recordings, both visual and sound, to illustrate “her ways,” which for over half a century, have been recognised as some of the best in the world.
Mavis believed in the reverence of mediumship and the healing it brings to both worlds. All too often mediums do not understand that they are communicating with ‘real people” who want to tell their story, rather than the medium interfering with their mind. Understanding the Spirit World is key.
